Back from camp~:) (Pictures are in the next post...^^V)

Well I've come back from camp, well I dunno how to describe my feelings now, but I can comfirm one thing, that's the camp was awsome... X)

 First night
My friends and I went to camp on the 4th of December, on the way to the venue, we got lost and needed to call for help from a friend's father to lead us... So we were late for registration for more than an hour... Haha... Luckily, we didn't miss much. All we missed were just the beginning of the opening ceremony...
Then, after the opening ceremony, we had ice-breaking. The games we played was quite fun, and I also learned how to break the ice with strangers...
Later on, we were put into six groups... My friends and I was put into different groups, so we had to face strangers and make new friends...
I was put into the group called 'Dhitti' which means having the right view . We discussed with our facilitator who to be chosen to be the group leader and file keeper(to take care of our files at all times)... When the facilitator asked me to be the group leader, I was thinking, 'What?! ' cause I've never try being a group leader before and this is the first time I'm taking part in camps from D2Y. And I didn't had the confidence to do it... But, in the end, I was the group leader after my facilitator told me ' It's okay, try your best' and I was thinking, well everybody has a first time. So I just took up the 'job' .... :)
We were given the task to create a group cheer... And our group cheer wasn't really a success at first, but, it was better later on, and our group was the one that gave the deepest impressions to others...
Then, we had supper, and went to sleep...

First day
We woke up at 6a.m, then we had the morning puja, exercise, and breakfast. Then we were briefted about the things we would do in camp and we were told that we will be having a Talentime on the 3rd day, and we were to prepare a sketch to present on that day... Then, we had a tour around the temple...
We had our first dhamma talk later on by Brother Ong Guan Leong... Honesly, it was a little boring... :P
Next, we had something fun-Tresure Hunt. It was kinda difficult, as the hints was kinda hard to figure out and find... The objective of this tresure hunt is " There is no easy way in life"...
Then we took our bath and disscussed about the sketch, using the extra time we have after bathing... Then we went for the evening puja and dinner... Then we had our first workshop, by brother Wei Wing. He told us about kamma, and explained what it really means, and how it affects our life...
Then before going to bed, we had supper and reflection and feedback for the day...

Second Day
Same routine in the morning, morning puja, exercise and breakfast... Then we had our 2nd workshop by Brother Mui Han... His name was really special, because if you translate to chinese, it's 美汉(beautiful man)... Funny right... Well, he got this name because Mui is his family name...
He had an activity with us. We were told to choose a representative from our group one at a time to go take a look at a picture go back to their own group and draw it. Every group member got a chance to do it... And we were ask to draw it exactly as the original picture seen,(which was impossible)...
Then when the activity has ended, we were told that if we had asked him if we can take a pen with us to go copy the original picture, and we were like, " What?! You should have said it earlier." So, the objective of this workshop is, " Dare to ask what we don't understand..."
Next, we had a dhamma talk with Uncle Vijaya, who had been teaching for 20 years in UiTM ...
He also told us about kamma... We really enjoyed the talk, as although he was not young anymore, he was full of humour, we laugh and learn at the same time...

After lunch, we had station games, it was very very fun... We were like racing with time, as we had limited time to finish out task in every station... But luckily we manage to finish everything in time, and even had some spare time to rest... Haha... Honestly if it wasn't because of my group members who a spotaneous, we won't have won the station games, and got the highest marks... :)
Later on after dinner, we sang hyms... The whole camp was like having a mini concert ...

Then we had the 3rd workshop by Brother Chee Onn... The theme of his workshop was "Creating Positivity" . He showed us a few pictures and video of people changing someone else's life into a better one.Every group was to think about an idea to change the world into a better place, and if we come up with a great idea, we will get sponsered to implement it... Cool isn't it... What we learnt from this workshop is " A simple act, can easily change someone's life" For example suspended cofee for those needy. Althoug it's just a cup of cofee to us, but to those needy, it can warm up his/her heart ...
Last things we did before sleeping was, having supper and reflection+feedbacks...

Third day (in the middle of the night)
Around midnight 2++, we were suddenly waken up. The committee told us " faster wake up, and go down and assembe at the hall. This is something serious. " When we assenble in the hall, every committee was like so strict, without smiles, including the friendly committees. We were so afraid, cos we didn't know what's happening.
Then a 'guardian' was told to lead us, and we were told to stay close to that 'guardian' . Next, the guardian leaded us to a dark room, and we were told to find anything suspicious in it.  As we coulden't find it, we were leaded outside the room where there was a committee dressed in begger clothes and very scary, and he started to tell us a story." I have killed my mother, but I have lost her ring, can you find it for me?" that was what he said... So we were leaded back to the room to find it...
After that, when finally when we found it, a "ghost" suddenly dashed into the room, shouting " where is my ring!!!" which was actually one of the committees...
Then, the guardian took us to another room. We were told that the door that we use for escaping has been locked, and we have to go into a room that has"hungry ghosts" inside, and we have to go in and get five orangers out. During the last round, no one had the guts to enter, so, to escape from that place sooner, I just stood up to go in. Luckily, when I went in, the "hungry ghosts" didn't scare me...
Next, we were leaded into another place, a row of classrooms. We were instructed to go to the other end to get 7 chairs to build a "shield" to protect us from the "ghost". Then, as we were carrying the chairs half way, we heard a noise behind us, the sound of somebody kicking an aluminium can around.
When we looked to the back, we saw a " ghost" crawling towards our direction, and it was picking up speed. So we ran and faster build the "shield". I was one of the people who finish the "shield", I saw it's face. It's face was painted white with the joker mouth. It freaked me out so much.
Then, we went to the balcony. We went into the first cabin. We found a paper saying that a ballerina commited suicide by jumping down from the balcony, and we were needed to seal her. So, we went out from the cabin and find the "ballerina" which was behind the last cabin. We started to chant, and wrote the chant on a mahjong paper(to seal the ballerina).
When two of the group members were using the mahjong paper to seal the ballerina which was already lying down, she suddenly woke up, and we all screamed and ran away...
Lastly, we were leaded to the kitchen which was very deep inside. We were to find "Sarah" for a little girl. So we had to walk into the toilet behind the kitchen. On the way to the toilet, there were forks being thrown at us at the floor. But, we couldn't see anybody throwing it. It was like damn scary. After finding "Sarah", when we took it, we heard a scream behind us. And we quickly ran back to the girl, but she wasn't there anymore, but was replaced with a ghost picture of a girl...
Finally, the activity was over. I still can't believe it that I finish the whole journey of this activity, as it was over my limit... >< And when the whole activity was over, finally, the smiles on the committee was back, and we all relaxed...
Then, we were told the objective of this activity. that's " 90% of our fear comes from our mind, and only 10% is our true fear, it includes getting hurt, etc... And to face our fears " then we were sent to bed...
But I didn't dare to sleep at night after that activity... :/

Third day(daylight)
Todayy is our special day, because, at night, its the talentime, the day we show our talents...
After the morning routine, we were taught to fold paper lotuses by Sister Rui Ci, to be used for the next day... Then we were given Dana briefing, and we did dana to two monks... It was my first time doing dana... I was kinda nevous at the start, cos I was afraid that I would do anything wrong... But, when I was doing it, I find it wasn't as hard as I thought... And I kinda felt great doing it... :)
Later on, We had our last workshop with Brother Chung Kai (CK), we learn how to make a stable building model, even when there are wind blowing,etc... The objective for this activity is " Be strong when we are facing difficulities..."

Then, we had our second hymns session... After that, we had our evening puja and dinner...
This is the time for talentime... All groups did their last minute preparations... Everyone was so nervouse about the performance... We learn from this talentime is to be brave to show our talents...

Fourth day
As the camp was going to end soon, all of us had a photo session... Then, we had a dhamma quiz, to test what we have learn these few days... Then we had our last hymn session... This session was the best, as it was the last session, and everyone wanted to sing their best...and when the session ended, everyone was like... Aww... cos no one wanted to end it...
After lunch, we had a telematch... The best part of this activity is when we went to the last station, we had a water ballon fight... Everyone was chasing each other throwing water ballons at each other... It was so much fun...
Then after dinner, we had Maha Puja, which was different from the normal pujas... this is longer and stricter, and we do offerings...
Then we continued our day with the Candle Night... That's when we put a candle into the paper lotus we foulded before... Then we walk around the hall for 3 rounds... Then we went to another hall to continue this activity by sitting around a candle light for each group and we shared our personal stories...
The difference for this night is we didn't have to sleep as early as the nights before... As this is the final night we are staying in camp... So the ones that don't want to sleep, can stay downstairs, but after 2, we were ushered to bed, but I was like,"NO!!!!!!! I duwan... it's the last night....And I'm hyper now...Can't sleep..." But, I still went back to the room and I saw someone wasn't asleep yet, so we chat for awhile... Then I fell asleep after 3:30...

Fifth day
This is the last day of camp, we clean the temple up, as this place was lent to D2Y for free... So we had the responsibility to keep it clean and tidy... Then we present certificates to the participants and committees... And the winners of the groups having the high marks based to the tresure hunt, station games, dhamma quiz and telematch, gets presents and the fist gets to have their group's name carved on the annual trophy...
My group almost win, as the difference of the marks between the first and our group was just 1 mark!!!  But we also learn that, eventhough we didn't get first place, but we had fun, and that's the most important thing... :)
Finally, the whole camp ended officially... Which was sad, as we didn't want it to end...But, there's nothing we can do, but to accept the reality and go home... Haha...

And that's the end of my sharing for this camp, hope your enjoy reading it... ^^V
