A one day trip to Chiling Waterfalls~

As I went for a one day trip with my mum, I decided to slot in this blog between my updates of my high school life...

Who said that we have to go overseas to have a great relaxing trip?
We can also have a relaxing trip in our own country right? :)
Well, why and how did I got involved in this trip?

One night...
My mum asked: "Anyone wants to go for a trip to the Chiling Waterfalls in Kuala Kubu Bharu?"

"I want." was what I replied. Since there was a chance to play water, why not just join the team? :)This was how I ended up taking the bus with my mums' friends who were some of my previous high school teachers and their family to the falls... Haha...

(On the way there by bus...)

We went through many small roads in the same town,
as the bus driver didn't really know the way there.

Finally, we were nearing the falls...
On the way there, we came across the Sungai Selangor Dam...

We've reach... Yay!!!
But to go to the exact place, we need to walk a short journey around 5~10mins in...
On the way there, we can hear the sond of water and insects...
Below is a video, specially taken to so that you guys can hear what I heard on the way...
(You need not watch, just listen to the sond)

Finally we've reached the waterfall lake...
There were already people camping at the river bank...

We were gathered together to be given instructions and have our first group photo.
Below are some boards that show rules, maps,etc...
(As the pictures aren't clear, I'll write down what's stated on the boards)

Let's really start the journey up to the waterfall...
We had to walk in muddy paths...
And here comes our first obstacle...
That's to climb over a big log, or so called a fallen tree to get to the other side...

Then, not long when we reach the first river crossing...
This first one was still shallow, the water height was up till the knee...

Then we continued walking again. We faced all kinds of paths, there was a path,
which was kinda dangerous, the width of that path was so narrow,
at the same time steep, so we really had to be careful where we step.

Second river crossing.
As the water was slightly deeper, we saw fishes in the water.
So, we walked beside the fishes when we crossed the river...

Then, we saw the waterfall in front of us,
another few more steps and we will be there...
By right, we should have crossed the river 6 times, but, as we had took another route,
we just crossed 5 times...
(My mum)Resting after the long climb.

Some went straight into the water...
Here are two videos of the people jumping into the water from the small "cliff", that you can see at the back of the picture above...
For me, at we've stopped climbing and have come to a stop,
bees started to come to me.
According to what my mum and teacher, I had the most bees on me...
(Does it mean I'm sweet~ Haha...)
We were told that the bees weren't harmful, so, I didn't care to chase them away,
only if the annoy me, will I chase them away...
Then, my mum said, how can the blogger not show her face,
and inssisted that I had to take a photo.
(Don't mind my messy hair, and weired smile? Haha...)
This is the first time dipping myself in the water full of fishes.
Below, they are feeding bread to the fishes...
There was this little guy, he was so scared of the fishes,
so, his mum had to carry him...
 And daddy... Haha...
(Such a great daddy)

Then, after playing, we were getting ready to climb down...

A last shot of the waterfall before going down...

Then we started our journey down...

The rocky path

The curvy path

We still come across small streams...
How we come is how we go, so we had to cross the river again...

At one of the banks, I saw this- Stone Stacking.

Gotta thank the rocks and roots, as some of them form steps for us,
that helped us alot during the climb.
At the same time some made the climb more dangerous,
as some were utting out, that can make us trip and fall...

And after this whole long climbing journey, finally, we see the exit(same place as the entrance)...

Below, it was the only flower seen the whole journey...

But,there were many butterflies and dragonflies seen during the journey...
We saw the Rajah Brooke’s birdwing as well as the normal butterflies which were blue, yellow, white with a patch of yellow, white, orange, etc..
While, dragonflies were red and blue...
As it was already 2pm, everyone was hungry,
so we went to have Loh Mee which was famous there and some other kind of food...

After that we went and bought Kaya Puffs which was also famous...
(The ones in the metal tray)

After buying, we started our jouney back.

This whole day, I was near to nature, Though some places got a little hurt, but, I got a real jungle trackking experience... :)
What this trip taught me was, thank everything, the roots, the stones, the fishes, the trees...
As all this minor things may help us when we don't realise... :)
